Art supports our health and wellbeing in many ways. It can reduce stress, build confidence and develop emotional resilience. With the right guidance, art can help you tap into your inner voice, supporting your nervous system and helping you feel calmer and more connected. Along the way you increase your technical skills – be they creative accuracy or creative freedom.
It doesn’t matter if you think all you can manage is a stick man. In fact, that’s just perfect. Stick men are my go-to doodles for understanding what’s happening inside. And before another inner voice whispers, “You can’t draw”, “It’s pointless” or “You’ll be frustrated,” take a breath and tell yourself:

Hi, I'm Amber. I'm an artist, a therapeutic art practitioner and the heart behind Art Dojo.

Art Dojo runs group and individual art-for-wellbeing programs for NDIS participants, in Cairns and online.
Creative activities are a tool for self-expression, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. Programs support the development of daily living skills, communication and social interaction.
Perfect for a girls’ night, family gathering, corporate event or birthday party.
Art parties are a great opportunity to connect with friends (and yourself!), and with Art Dojo you can hold the event at your own home or venue. And remember, no painting experience or skills required. We will guide you through every step of the way!
